Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 30, 2026
Draft notice: This document is a functional starting point covering how KDPVolt actually works today. The bracketed field below (governing law) needs your real business details filled in, and — because this is a binding legal document — we'd recommend a lawyer reviews the final version before you rely on it.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account or using KDPVolt ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What KDPVolt Is
KDPVolt is AI-assisted software for researching, generating, editing, and exporting books intended for self-publishing on Amazon KDP and similar platforms. The Service researches niches, generates interior pages and manuscripts using AI, provides editing tools, and exports print-ready files. KDPVolt does not submit books to Amazon or any other retailer on your behalf — you review and publish the final files yourself.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you register.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
KDPVolt is offered on recurring monthly subscription plans (Starter, Pro, Agency, and Reseller), billed and processed through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by contacting support; cancellation stops future billing but does not itself entitle you to a refund for the current period — see our Refund Policy.
5. AI Credits & AI Chapters
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits (for generated images: interior pages and covers) and AI chapters (for generated manuscript content). These allowances refresh each billing cycle and do not carry over to the next cycle. Using more than your plan includes may require upgrading your plan or purchasing additional capacity, as made available in your account.
6. Commercial License
A commercial license — permission to sell books you create using the Service — is included on the Pro, Agency, and Reseller plans. The Starter plan does not include a commercial license. Check your plan's features before publishing books for sale.
7. Agency Plan — Additional Terms
These additional terms apply specifically to the Agency plan, on top of everything else in this document. If anything here conflicts with another section for an Agency account, this section controls.
- You are the vendor to your clients, not us. When you use Agency to create or deliver books for a client, you — not KDPVolt — are the party contracting with that client. We have no relationship with your clients, we don't bill them, support them, or owe them anything, and we're not a party to whatever agreement you have with them.
- Client workspaces. Your plan includes a set number of client workspaces (currently 10), each an isolated project space. You're responsible for only putting a given client's content in that client's workspace and for whatever data-handling promises you make to your clients about how their content is kept separate.
- What white-label branding covers. White-label branding replaces KDPVolt's own branding with yours across the dashboard, login, and delivered files. It does not mean you own, built, or may claim to have built the underlying software — you may present the finished output as your own work product to your clients, but you may not represent KDPVolt's platform or AI technology itself as your own proprietary system.
- You're responsible for your clients' content too. Every requirement in Section 8 (Acceptable Use) that applies to content you create applies equally to content you create for a client — including Amazon KDP compliance, any required AI-disclosure, and not infringing anyone's rights. You're responsible for having whatever rights or consents you need from a client to generate and deliver their book.
- Delivering finished books, not reselling the platform. Agency lets you deliver finished, KDP-ready books to clients under your own name. It does not let you resell or sub-license access to the KDPVolt platform itself — giving a client their own login to use the Service directly isn't covered by Agency (see the Reseller plan's own terms for that).
- If your subscription ends. Cancelling or downgrading out of Agency doesn't transfer any obligation to us for client work already delivered — that remains between you and your client. Content in client workspaces is subject to the same account-data handling as the rest of your account after cancellation.
8. Acceptable Use
- Don't use the Service to create illegal content or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- You're responsible for complying with Amazon KDP's (or any other retailer's) content policies, including any requirement to disclose AI-assisted content.
- Agency and Reseller plans permit creating client or sub-account books within the limits of your plan; reselling access to the Service itself outside of the Reseller plan's terms isn't permitted.
- Don't attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
9. Intellectual Property
You own the books and content you create using the Service, subject to the terms of the underlying AI providers used to generate that content and your compliance with these Terms. The KDPVolt software, brand, and platform itself remain our property.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that Amazon KDP (or any retailer) will approve or list any book you create, and we make no guarantee of any sales or income from books created using the Service. Publishing outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including your niche, effort, and market conditions.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure to operate: Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage), OpenRouter (AI content generation), Pexels (optional stock photography for certain book types), and our payment processor (payment processing). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction — to be filled in].
