1. What We Collect

• Account information: your name and email address when you register.
• Content you create: niches, book text, generated manuscripts and images, and any reference images or style preferences you upload.
• Usage data: AI credit and chapter usage, plan and billing status, and general activity needed to operate your account.
• Payment information: we do not collect or store your card details. Payments are processed entirely by our third-party payment processor.

2. How We Use It

• To provide the Service — generating, editing, and exporting your books.
• To process your subscription and billing, via our payment processor.
• To communicate with you about your account, such as billing or support matters.
• To maintain and improve the Service.

3. Third Parties We Share Data With

We use the following third-party services to operate KDPVolt. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for your account and content.
• OpenRouter — receives the prompts and niche descriptions you submit in order to generate AI content (text and images) on your behalf.
• Pexels — used only when you generate certain book types (e.g. how-to guides) that include stock photography; no personal account data is shared with Pexels.
• Our payment processor — processes your payment and subscription; handles your payment details directly, which we never see.

We don't sell your personal data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and content within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (for example, billing records via our payment processor) for legal or accounting purposes.

5. Your Rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us (see below) or, where available, directly from your account settings.

6. Marketing Emails and How to Unsubscribe

Account and billing emails (signup confirmation, password resets, purchase receipts, and similar account-critical messages) are not promotional and can't be opted out of while your account is active — they're necessary to operate the Service.

If we ever send you marketing or promotional email, every such email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom — clicking it removes you from that list immediately, no account changes required. You can also unsubscribe at any time, or ask us to stop entirely, by emailing support at kdpvolt.com with "unsubscribe" and the email address you signed up with.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to operate the Service securely, managed via Supabase Auth. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Security

We rely on Supabase's infrastructure for authentication and data storage, and take reasonable measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

KDPVolt is a business tool and is not directed at or intended for use by children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
